On September 7,2004, Germany Mannheim Wind Philharmonic held a concert named "BASF-YPC Autumn Melody"in Nanjing.
Invited by BASF-YPC Company Limited, Mr. Liang Baohua, Jiangsu Province Governor, attended the concert together with all the company staff. Before the performance Mr. Liang Baohua met with Dr. Blumnberg, the company's president, chief members of the philharmonic and the vice mayor of Mannheim Municipality.
In 1987 Mannheim Wind Philharmonic was founded in Mannheim, which is recognized as the cradle of modern symphony. It is composed of over 100 music talents, who can play smoothly and wonderfully and are capable of giving accurate interpretation to the modern masterpiece. On the concert, they played passionate march, sentimental German folk music and classic movie music, which won thunderous applause again and again.
Nanjing was one stop of the Mannheim Wind Philharmonic's round show in China and the concert was sponsored by BASF-YPC Company Limited.
