On April 12 of 2010, BASF-YPC Company Limited convened a community dialogue to communicate with the neighbors about the arrangements of the coming turnaround and the possible impact on the environment. 16 representatives of nearby Changlu and Yudai communities attended.

In the dialogue, the director of site turnaround briefed the attendees the reasons of the turnaround for the first time in 5 years, along with the duration and time line. The director responsible for Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) presented the measures on environmental protection and safety we have been preparing for the turnaround. In his presentation, emission plans and improvements were highlighted, for these issues the representatives were mostly concerned about.

Later, representatives of local residents communicated with the management on the mentioned issues. Both parties agreed to keep close contact with each other to deal with the contingencies that might arise during the turnaround.
