On January 12, 2006, about one thousand and ten employees attended the 2005 Annual Meeting held in Nanjing International Exhibition Center, which is immersed in a harmonious and happy atmosphere.

On the meeting, Dr. Blumenberg, President of the Company, recalled the Company's great achievements last year, expressed his cordial appreciation to all the employees who had paid much efforts in the construction, commissioning and commercial operation of IPS project and finally put forward the objectives of the Company in 2006. On behalf of Mr. Dai Houliang, BOD Chairman of the Company, Mr. Zhang Dabeng, BOD Chairman of Yangzi Petrochemical Company Limited and Yangzi Petrochemical Corporation, also attended the meeting and made a warm speech. He firstly, on behalf of the parent company, warmly congratulated the Company for its excellent business performance last year and expressed his hope that the Company should lay down a solid foundation for a sustainable development by sticking to the "world-scale, high technology and integration" strategic objective and taking advantage of the currently favorable market status of petrochemical industry. Then Dr. Kreimeyer and Dr. Brudermueller, both of whom were members of Board of Executive Directors of BASF, delivered their speeches respectively and won long applauses of the attendees.

At last, proposed by Dr. Blumenberg, all the attendees held their goblets high to hail for the successful past and toast for the bright future.
