On June 27, 2008, the Awarding Ceremony for the Third General Election of Excellent Entrepreneurs in Jiangsu was held in Nanjing to honor 40 excellent entrepreneurs and 10 companies invested in Jiangsu, with the theme of "Hand in Hand to Build Bright Future". BASF-YPC Company Limited was among the 10 companies, who were awarded for their outstanding contributions to the investments in 2007 in Jiangsu Province.
The election, launched by Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Trade Committee, Jiangsu Provincial Industrial and Commercial Association and Xinhua Express, has been held for three times since its debut and won wide recognition and support from all walks of life. Kicked off from January this year, the election received 400 candidates through self-recommendation, on-line voting and recommendations by relevant departments, then after the appraisal of experts, the organizer announced the final result.
