On October 29, 2006, the Project Evaluation Center of the State Bureau of Environmental Protection held a consultation meeting in Nanjing on the Company's environmental impact evaluation plan during the period of the Eleventh Five-year Plan of National Economy, attended by 27 delegates from SINOPEC Group, Jiangsu Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau, Nanjing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Yangzi Petrochemical Corporation, BASF-YPC Co., Ltd., Shanghai South Petrochemical Environment Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Environment Science Research Institute, while 7 technical experts were also invited to the meeting. On the meeting, the Company introduced the targets, principles and contents of its project plan during the Eleventh Five-year Plan of National Economy and Shanghai South Petrochemical Environment Science and Technology Co., Ltd., as the evaluation party, reported the evaluation implementation plan to the expert committee. After discussion, the expert committee reached consultation agreements, laying a solid foundation for the compilation of the report of the environmental impact of the Company's project during the period of the Eleventh Five-year Plan of National Economy.
