
On February 24 2005, BASF-YPC Company Limited hosted "The Third Environmental Impact Dialogue on IPS Project" in Yangtze Guesthouse.
Over 30 delegates from BASF-YPC Company Limited, Yudai and Changlu residents, municipal EPB and Luhe district government attended the dialogue on the company's impact to the environment and environmental protection measures after its commercial operation. Dr. Blumenberg, president of the company, elucidated the company's values and introduced the project status. He also said that as a good neighbor and companion, BASF-YPC Company Limited felt obliged to communicate with the attendees on environmental protection and learn their comments and suggestions. Mr. Shao Xuehua, the director of Safety, Health and Environment Department, introduced the measures and plans on environmental protection and emergency response.
The attendees spoke highly of the responsible practice of the company, saying that these dialogues on environmental protection fully demonstrated the company's focus on human and high responsibility to society. They also put forward a number of valuable suggestions, hoping this kind of dialogue could be held constantly. The management of the company listened carefully and answered their questions in details.
Delegates from PSB branches and nearby enterprises also attended the dialogue. BASF-YPC Company Limited held the previous two dialogues separately in January of 2002 and June of 2004.
