On the afternoon of June 26, 2019, the International Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Industry Development Summit was held in Nanjing International Expo Convention Center. The theme of this summit is: to lead eco-industries with innovative green technology. BYC President Uwe Kirchgaessner was invited to deliver a keynote speech entitled Resource Efficiency-Basis for Sustainability during the summit.

Mr. Kirchgaessner pointed out that BYC as a highly integrated Verbund site, uses the most advanced concept and technology for energy-saving and environmental protection from the very beginning. The Company strives to maximize the utilization of resources and minimize the emission of pollutants. He also elaborated in detail about the Company's efficient use of raw materials, strict waste disposal standard and control, maximum recycling economy, energy conservation and continuous emission reduction measures. The actual data from his speech shows the importance of implementing Responsible Care policies, promoting chemical industry innovation and realizing sustainable development, especially when nowadays the resources become limited yet the demand is continuously growing. In the end, Mr. Kirchgaessner called for the understanding and support from the society to jointly create a dynamic future.
