BASF "Kid's Lab" opened in Nanjing on September 12,2003 after it was introduced in Beijing last year. Kid's Lab was carried out in Nanjing Museum where traditional local culture is on display with commencement on September 12 and successful conclusion on 25th of the same month.About 8000 children aged from 6 to 12 appreciated the wonders of chemistry offered by BASF .

The children participated in hands-on experiments closely related to their everyday life to broaden their horizons, experience the infinite possibility of chemical realm and foster sustainable development awareness. The children wrote their impressions down at the end of each session.

Favorable comments have been received from children. "My daughter is very interested in the experiments, she is more careful about her surroundings than ever and her environmental protection awareness is increased", says Ms. Zhu Yue, from HR department. Mr. Li Yang from production department believes that the experiments are beneficial to arouse kids' interests in chemistry, his son offered to describe the experiments to his classmates afterwards. Mr. Li hopes there will be more similar opportunities.
