On May 28, 2005, the Company invited sixty pupils with badly off families from Dongwang Primary School, Gouwang Primary School and Binjiang Primary School in Luhe District to attend the activity called "BASF-YPC Company Limited in My Eyes" to celebrate the forthcoming Children's Day.

Led by the Company's staff, these innocent and naive kids visited the plants, the central control room of BCC Plant and the jetties beside Yangtze River with great interest and excitement. They were much amazed by the gigantic plants and fascinated by the intricate and hi-tech equipments in the central control room. Later on, to pour down all their impressions to the Company, they found a nice place -a 20-meter-long white cloth. After a while, the plants, tanks, pipelines, jetties and buildings emerged on the cloth, echoing with and complimenting to the actual surroundings. Finally we got an idea of how the Company looked like in the eyes of these lovely kids. Dr. Blumenberg, the Company President, Mr. Chen Zhilong, Chairman of the Trade Union, and Mr. Chen Hailin, Director of the Administration Department, watched the painting with great interest and then distributed gifts to the kids, encouraging them to study hard, and took photos with them. The kids thanked the Company and said they would pay back the Company's care with better performance at school.

BASF-YPC Company Limited has been aiding these poor pupils since 2004 to enable them to stay at school till graduation. This activity again demonstrated the Company's care to the healthy growth of the younger generations and annotated one of the Company's values---contributing to the development of the society.
