On December 22, 2008, Dr. Blumenberg, President of BASF-YPC Company Limited (BYC), and Mr. Cheng Zhong, General Manager of Human Resource and Administration Division, went to Jiangsu Polytechnic University (JPU) to award the "2008 BYC Scholarship" to 50 undergraduates and postgraduates. On the awarding ceremony, Mr. Chen Zhigang, President of the university, on behalf of the faculties and students, expressed his gratitude to BYC for its care and support to education. And he granted "Guest Professor" certificate to Dr. Blumenberg. After the ceremony, Dr. Blumenberg gave a lecture with the subject of "Sustainable Modern Chemical Operation" and encouraged the awardees and students present to study hard to be the high quality talents for chemical industry.
