On March 3, 2009, on behalf of BASF-YPC Company Limited (BYC), Mr. Chen Hailin, Director of Administration Department, donated to “Congenital Heart Disease Salvation Project” of Nanjing Charity Foundation with a sum of RMB 90,000, which will be used to pay for the operation bills of three kids from Luhe District, suffering from congenital heart diseases.

Congenital heart disease, also called congenital heart defect, includes a variety of malformations of the heart or its major blood vessels that are present at birth. However, after receiving operations, the patient can be cured and lead a normal life. The three kids funded by BYC come from low-income families in Luhe District and are not able to afford the operation expenses. With the help of BYC, they can receive heart operations before the age of 14, after which the risk of operations will rise substantially. As for them, a happy and healthy life is no more an untouchable dream.

Mr. Zhang Dajin, Vice Standing Secretary General of Nanjing Charity Foundation, accepted the donation on behalf of the Foundation. He appreciated the Company's vigorous support to charities and expressed his respect to the Company for always taking social responsibilities consciously.
