On January 8 2003, the EG project celebrated a major project milestone. Team members and the relevant people from IMT Nanjing Office had an official EG groundbreaking ceremony and the first piling on EG site. This also marks the first major construction milestone on the IPS site for 2003.On January 23 2003, LDPE reached its first major construction milestone with the commencement of piling in the area of the two reactor bays. This will allow construction of the civil work in the reactor bays to start on schedule, followed the installation of high-pressure reactor system.The groundbreaking ceremony for the Oxo and AA/AE units, both under contract with TOYO, was held on February 28. AA/AE and Oxo complexes are currently the largest plants comparing with other similar ones in China and form the world-class scale.
