As the spring festival was drawing near, on January 30th of 2007, Mr. You Houping, Vice President, and other top management members of the Company visited Yanjiang Industrial Development Management Committee, sending best wishes to its officials and local residents. On the meeting, Mr. You said:" Thanks to the support and care of local government, in the year of 2006, which is the Company's first full operational year, all the plants ran stably and various social activities of the Company went on successfully, thus we had achieved good social and economic results. We would like to further strengthen the cooperation with the government to make greater contributions to boost local economy and create harmonious society". Mr. Tian Wei, the chief leader of Yanjiang Industrial Development Management Committee, said:" As a big petrochemical company, BASF-YPC Company Limited not only strongly fueled the economic development, but also set a good example for other corporations on safety, health, environmental protection and social responsibility. The community communication meeting is a nice platform, through which the government, communities and corporations can enhance mutual understandings and cooperation.
