On January 7 2005, BASF-YPC Company Limited made its first delivery of 20 tons of methyl acrylate to its very first customer, Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited. Methyl acrylate is the first product manufactured by the company's integrated petrochemical site in Nanjing, China, which has just achieved mechanical completion as scheduled at the end of 2004.
"The inaugural delivery of methyl acrylate is another milestone for BASF-YPC Company Limited. It shows our capability to deliver products efficiently and on schedule -- the first step in fulfilling our commitment of helping our customers to be more successful," stated Mr. Pang Jiasheng, Vice President of BASF-YPC Company Limited.
Vice Chief Engineer of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited, Mr Wang Yijun said, "It is our pleasure to see the first quality product from BASF-YPC Company Limited delivered to our factory exactly as we requested.
