During November 13-15 in Nanjing held 2019 China Chemical Park Sustainable Development Conference, which was jointly hosted by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), China National Chemical Economic and Technical Development Center, and Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, attracting more than 900 attendants from the authorities, chemical parks, Chinese and foreign enterprises, to share the best practices and innovative achievements of all parks and enterprises on EHS management and sustainable development. By benchmarking the top ones in the world, all parks, in their future planning, shall establish the sustainability concepts of industry cycle, ecological development, safe and intelligent management, thus laying a solid foundation for their green and high-quality development.
In the plenary session on the 14th, Luo Qun, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and Deputy Secretary of Party Working Committee of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, Fu Xiangsheng, Vice Chairman of CPCIF, Ouyang Pingkai, Academician of China Academy of Engineering and Professor of Nanjing Technology University, and Bian Zhongwu, Director of Nanjing Jiangbei New Material High-tech Park, etc. delivered keynote speeches. In his speech entitled "Driving Sustainability along the Value Chain", BYC President Uwe Kirchgaessner, elaborated our efforts in the aspects like choosing suppliers and contractors, resource utilization, safety management, risk control, environmental protection, etc. under the core concept of Verbund.
